How to Record Your Testimonial
It’s quick and easy to participate. Just choose one of the provided testimonial lines and record your message using one of the following methods:
- Instagram & Facebook – Send a voice message directly to Grey History Podcasts via the Instagram or Facebook app.
- Video Ask – Use this Video Ask link to record directly from your phone or computer.

Recording Tips
- Find a quiet space to minimize background noise.
- Hold your phone’s microphone close to your mouth for clear audio.
- If using Instagram or Facebook, consider sending your line as a text message first, so you can read it while recording.
- If using Video Ask, you can paste your line onto a “Notes” section (button is next to the big red record button) so that you can read your line while you record your voice message
Legal Necessities
Podcast Testimonial Release Waiver
By submitting my recorded testimonial to Grey History Podcasts (“the Podcast”), I grant the Podcast the irrevocable right to use my testimonial, including my voice and any statements I make, for promotional and marketing purposes.
I understand that my testimonial may be edited for clarity or length and may be used in various formats, including but not limited to social media, advertisements, and podcast episodes.
I acknowledge that I am providing this testimonial voluntarily and will not receive any financial compensation, royalties, or other benefits in exchange for its use.
I may request in writing that the Podcast cease further distribution of my testimonial with at least 14 days’ notice. However, I understand that this request will only apply to future uses of my testimonial and will not affect any content that has already been published or distributed. Any previously released content containing my testimonial may remain accessible and continue to be used and distributed by the Podcast.
By submitting my testimonial, I acknowledge that I have read and agree to the terms of this waiver.
