Key rights for package bookings

  1. Clear pre booking information
    You will receive essential information about the package before you are bound by the contract, including what is included, the total price, and key terms.
  2. Organiser responsibility
    There is always at least one organiser responsible for the proper performance of the travel services included in your package.
  3. Assistance if you are in difficulty
    If you are in difficulty during travel, the organiser must provide appropriate assistance, including providing relevant information and support.
  4. Transfer of your booking
    You may be able to transfer your package booking to another person who satisfies the conditions for the trip, subject to reasonable notice and payment of reasonable transfer costs.
  5. Changes before departure
    If the organiser must make a significant change to the package before departure, you will have rights to receive clear information and may have the right to terminate the contract and receive a refund, depending on the circumstances and mandatory rules.
  6. Cancellation and refunds
    You may have rights to cancel in certain circumstances, including where unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances significantly affect the trip or travel to the destination, with a right to a refund and without paying a termination fee in those circumstances.
  7. Refund timing in the UK
    For package bookings under the UK regulations, refunds for cancellations are required within 14 days.
  8. Insolvency protection
    If your booking is a package, you have the benefit of insolvency protection covering the refund of payments made if the organiser becomes insolvent.
  9. Complaints and remedies
    If travel services are not performed or are improperly performed, you may have rights to an appropriate price reduction and, in some cases, compensation, subject to the rules that apply.

Credits and refunds
If we ever offer a credit note instead of a refund, you should also have the option of a cash refund where mandatory rules require it.
